Not Lohengrin - it's from Tchaikovsky's The Snow Maiden.
I believe the ensemble performing here (on Pachelbel's Canon in D for strings and continuo, T. 337) is the Jean-Francois Paillard Chamber Orchestra. •
To give credit where it is due, I believe the composer of this Divertimento for Band is Vincent Persichetti.
This cheerful piece was for many years the theme to William F. Buckley's PBS-TV program "The Firing Line." Buckley loved Bach's music and was a devoted amateur on the harpsichord.
Psalm 42? Isn't this a setting of the folksong "The Water Is Wide"?
