Started way back 1987 , highschool friends decided to formed a band called Sleaze Dogs. Original members , Fritz (guitar), Van (drummer), Lester Cruz (vocals), Dwight Basan (bass) and Emer Montenegro (guitar) who is still active on the scene. From the original line up the group split up to form two separate bands. Anticries composed of Fritz (guitar), Benjie "Balot" (guitars), Ricky Tariela (bass) , Van Espolong (drummer ) and Kino Daval Santos ( vocals) playing Metallica songs and some original compositions. The other band members from the original Sleaze Dogs formed the band Askals composed of Emer on guitars, Teddy Marfil (Bass), Ricky Tarriela (drums)and Lovio Brazal on vocals playing purely original compositons. After the band Anticries dissolved when the other members pursued other interest , Ricky goes to New York, Van got married ,Benjie "Balot" goes variety , Fritz pursues his engineering studies , Askals decided to have Kino as their lead vocal.
