Band/artist history
Started way back 1987 , highschool friends decided to formed a band called Sleaze Dogs. Original members , Fritz (guitar), Van (drummer), Lester Cruz (vocals), Dwight Basan (bass) and Emer Montenegro (guitar) who is still active on the scene. From the original line up the group split up to form two separate bands. Anticries composed of Fritz (guitar), Benjie "Balot" (guitars), Ricky Tariela (bass) , Van Espolong (drummer ) and Kino Daval Santos ( vocals) playing Metallica songs and some original compositions. The other band members from the original Sleaze Dogs formed the band Askals composed of Emer on guitars, Teddy Marfil (Bass), Ricky Tarriela (drums)and Lovio Brazal on vocals playing purely original compositons. After the band Anticries dissolved when the other members pursued other interest , Ricky goes to New York, Van got married ,Benjie "Balot" goes variety , Fritz pursues his engineering studies , Askals decided to have Kino as their lead vocal.

shet!!! nagulat kami dito sa new york bumalik na pala ang askals, dati ko pa kayo napapanood since 1989 pa.. malupit pa rin lalo na yung gitarista, pag uwi ko papapakasta ko sa malupit nyong gitarista kahit sa kalye pa... awooooo long live astig asong kalye

una ko napanood sa red rocks dating club dredd, 15 lang ako nun malupit na talaga yung gitarista may sariling istilo, at astig gumawa ng kanta at riffs.. sayang di ko na meet yung gitarista ng askals
mga putang aso yan sarap pulutan ang lupit, tagay lang at makinig sa musikang aluluong
