Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Zombina and Doc Horror started the Skeletones as school kids in 1998. While everyone else was grunging it up with the brit-poop and the house music, Zombina and the Skeletones were looking to The Cramps and The B-52's, The Munsters and The Return Of The Living Dead.
By the early 2000's we were regularly releasing albums and EP's on their DIY label Ectoplastic Records. The trademark Zombina and the Skeletones blend of bubblegum, gothic and garage being championed at various times by Steven Van Zandt, Wednesday 13 and Troma Films.
We took an informal hiatus sometime around 2016, but RETURNED FROM THE GRAVE in 2024 with their biggest and baddest album to date "The Call Of Zombina", out now on 9x9 Records.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We played our first show in Liverpool in 1999 and have since been all over Europe. It's all been one big special, cloudy memory.
