Band/artist history
I ran away from home when I was 16 back in 1968 and hitched hiked out to San Francisco from Harrisburg, PA and was part of the last hurrah in the Haight. 1970 I was at the Atlanta International Pop Fest for The Allman Bros debut. Later I hitched back up north to The Powdwr Ridge Festival which was a bust(literally for me). I jumped bail and headed back west and was at a Winterland Dead/Airplane show the night Janis died After things started getting too weird in Frisco I came back to PA and started my first Folk Rock band called Gravel Road, after that did the Bowie/T-Rex glam thing for awhile. At the arrival of disco in the mid 70s I was already starting to gravitate back to my roots so I headed to Nashville but with no luck there, so I returned to PA and there got an offer to join a Power Pop band called The Weasels (see picture) which did well for a few years. After that I reunited with the guitar player from my first band and had a pre-Stray Cats RockaBilly band called The Rock-A-Dials. With the advent of Punk Pop and New Wave I got disgusted with the Radio and enrolled in art school during which I returned to Folk Rock with a band called Common Ground that I managed to keep together for quite a few years in one form or another. The 90s saw The Hornets, Hired Guns and The Brambles. After disbanding The Innocents in 03 I decided to give up the band thing and return to Nashville to concentrate on writing. It's been a long strange trip but I wouldn't change nothin' I left out a lot but that's the whirlwind tourHave you performed in front of an audience?I occaisionally play at various writers venues but only to try out new stuff. I fronted a band for over 30 years and I'm sick of it
