Perea has been singing and playing guitar for more than 23 years and writing songs for 22. She has written and played with artists such as Susan Gibson, the writer of the Dixie Chicks' award-winning song, "Wide Open Spaces." Whether ballads, such as the lyrically poignant "Tommorrow's Day," or blues, like the groovin' "Keeper of It All," Perea's sound always makes each song uniquely hers--a distinction she has unquestionably earned. In other words, this woman can play.
