you're away
'you're away' came as a result of me needing a way to deal with manic depression and also a use for the knowlege of the various instruments I am able to play.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started playing Viola in 4th grade, loved it, but wanted to play Saxophone as well. The school wouldn't allow me to do both, saying it would be too much for me to handle. So I left Orchestra to play sax. Once I was in the band, they told me I couldn't play sax, and told me to play clarinet. After 3 years, I became bored with what we were doing, so I asked for a guitar for christmas. Since then I have bought and learned the following instruments:
Guitar
Sitar
Mandolin
Ukulele
Banjo
Clarinet
Piano
Bass
Drums
Harmonica
Cello
Xylaphone
Tamboori
I am currently being classically trained in Sitar, and am working towards a degree in Sitar playing through a college in India.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have played at the Old Town School of Folk Music on the north side of Chicago, as well as Millenium Park on two occasions to celebrate the opening of the Lurie Garden.
