Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Young Squad is a rap group from North Preston, Nova Scotia. They started out with the name Baby Ballers. In 2002 they changed their name to Young Squad due to the two older age groups from North Preston that started the name of The Squad Up Family, Night Squad, and Day Squad. So as the younger boys from the area and wanting to be part of the family they changed their name to Young Squad to show that they were down with the hood. They started out at the ages of 12 and 13. At that time there was 4 members of the rap group and like 20 in the young squad family. As the time past and certain people constantly being around the 4 who rapped they developed the skill and love for rap. Now The Young Squad is slowly taking over the rap industry of Nova Scotia.
