Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
February 16, 2003 was the day. YoungRay was at the E2 nightclub in Chicago when 21 people died in a horrific tragedy publicized all over the nation. Realizing there was a reason that he wasn't #22, he decided to accept Christ instead of braggin' about his survival like other secular artists. Christ began to set his life in order as he married the mother of his children that same year. E2 Survivor, YoungRay's first gospel rap project was put in motion that year, making his official declaration to the world that he no longer yielded to the beggarly elements of sin. From city to suburbs, people have been exposed to the testimony and ministry of YoungRay and their lives have been changed for the better because of it. YoungRay has a strong desire for the work of the ministry and he now realizes the purpose that he was created for......Nothing will stop YoungRay from reaching his destiny!

Your musical influences
YoungRay's musical roots were cultivated by the influence of his father, who was touring the country with his band during the 70's and 80's.
