Bursting onto the DMV’s growing hip hop scene in early 2007, Young Boy Tizzy (a.k.a. Dahvae Akers) is no newcomer to music. Penning his first song when he was only nine years old, the young artist started rapping for fun: “I wasn’t serious about rapping at first, but people kept telling me that I was good and I should pursue it” Following this advice, the young rapper began to study Jay-Z, DMX, Jadakiss, T.I. and other renowned rappers in hopes of learning how to be more lyrical. I also opened up for Plies at a teen party June 18th 2008 for a "Bust It Baby Party" at the Zanzibar on The Waterfront. Ive also performed at Ibizu, the Ultra Bar,Club Bounce and several birthday parties.
I love performing its better than writing a song recording a song..Its just the rush i get from it.

Im a big fan of REAL HIP HOP so I definitely listen to alot of Jay-Z Jadakiss and DMX, Big Pun BIGGIE and PAC. I also listen to alot of T.I. Young Jeezy Kanye Lupe Joel Ortiz and you know just good hit hop.
