Yellow Bentines

A wide range of musical styles has influenced Yellow Bentines music, but the format usually remains the same: piano, guitar, bass and drums. In saying this however they have been known to throw in the odd trumpet from time to time as an extra dynamic. www.yellowbentines.co.uk
Band/artist history
Yellow Bentines were formed in May 2004 from the ashes of the popular Glasgow band ‘The Devotions’ who had supported the likes of ‘Keane’, ‘The Glitterati’ and ‘The Parkinsons’. Martin Hay and Peter Hall originally created the band as a side project from ‘The Devotions’, the reason being so that they could play some acoustic and piano based songs that would have never fitted in a Devotions set. However when ‘The Devotions’ split in July 2004 Yellow Bentines became the focus of their attention. Having a special desire for a fuller sound at their live shows they recruited two additional members Andrew Hall (Peter’s brother) and Graham Lough who could fill the bands drumming, backing vocals and bass playing requirements. In August 2004 they made their live debut in Glasgow.
