My name is Rob Morton a.k.a. Ya Boy 87. I am 19 yrs. of age and I am currently attending Eastern Kentucky University where I'm majoring in Broadcasting and Electronic Media. The name 87 originates from my date of birth. I started rapping and producing my own music when I was 12 yrs. old. What I bring to the music industry is simply raw talent, intensity, integrity, and a bad ass beat to go with it. KYs been overlooked for way too long so its up to me to make a change cuz ITZ MY TYME 2 SHINE!!!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
When I was in the seventh grade people used to hype this dude up name Glenn because they felt that he was the truth when it came to rapping. Once I heard him rap, I felt as though I could do the same. He wasn't what I was expected. I knew that I had talent, so I tried it myself and I've been rapping ever since.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I don't play any live instruments or anything but i have attented a few live performances or talent shows.
