Why are a Hip-Hop production duo called XXL-Beats. We started in 2006 making Hip-Hop beats. We are from Holland and we worked there with a bunch of (in Holland) famous artists like Kempi, Rocks, Brace, CC, Tim Beumers, Buju, El Stylo, Kleine Viezerik, Rogero, Mane, Nicknack, Lens etc.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We worked with a bunch of artists in Holland, and that's our history.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Nope.
Your musical influences
We have a problem; we can't make any 'happy' beats. Our beats are mostly dark, emotional, at least it has a soul.Our influences depend on...nothing...sometimes we make Westcoast, sometimes Dirty South, sometimes Pop, sometimes underground. We are inspired by Scott Storch, Dr. Dre and more major producers.
What equipment do you use?
Just FL Studio 9 XXL Producers Edition on our laptops. We both share the same sounds and we've got the same VST's like East West Colossus, Orchestra, RA, Stormdrum, Edirol Orchestral, Poizone, reFX Nexus, Lazysnake, Ravity etc.
Anything else?
I have two cats!
