X-Proof
Heavy tune with a lydian feel to it, kind of inspired by Vai's 'Building the Church'. I just wanted to start off a song with a tapped intro as well.
A heavy, old school shred guitar instrumental, influenced by (early) Vinnie Moore, TMac, Becker, Cacophony etc.
A little 'Vai-esque' here and there, I love the harmonized parts.
This is a song I wrote in collaboration with Stratman70 (Edwin Kosters) who I met through the 'gitaarnet.nl' forums. Edwin composed and plays the middle solopart, the solo to the second heavy riff and the outro slidesolo.
Just fooling around with a Line 6 guitarport...
A moving, Satriani-like ballad with a nice turning point in the middle section.
Recorded at a friend's house figuring out some recording programs, the drums sound like sh*t though... Some fast licks in the middle section.
For the 2002 Sena Guitar Awards finals, contestants had to create their own version of the 'Wilhelmus', the Dutch national anthem. This is what I came up with.
Just a feelgood, pounding high-voltage instrumental! One of my personal favorites.
A heavy tune with some classical influences in it.
Another ballad, different techniques are used here, such as volume swells, tapping chords. The progression to the main theme comes back in three different ways: picked, tapped (intro) and arpeggiated (last part).
Cool, hard-rocking uptempo tune with a great vibe to it.
