MOTA is basically made up of:
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
MOTA started out in November 2005. Hamish and Simon first got together with a drummer in their school called James Woodward. They started with songs by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Nirvana. That was short lived and they went their separate ways.
Not long afterwards, Simon and Hamish got together again. This time with David and Izzat, in order to practise for Battle of the Bands 2005. This gig was their first venue and was one of their best gigs ever. They have stuck together ever since. Also at Battle of the Bands they were first introduced to Hafizah and were intrigued by her awesome vocals and unique appearence.
They spent a lot of time practising all together, and they played a few gigs here and there, and began to get known in the Scene. They began to widen their repetoire and broaden their musical horizons. As they began playing more and more difficult and challenging songs, they began to form relationships with other bands who appreciated their style of music. (Thanks , , , ).
A few months passed and they began composing their own music, and not long after this, Danial, second guitarist and backup vocalist, joined the band and contributed to the songs they've made since then. Some of them you will know: "SMS" & "Closure". They began to record shortly after this at Starmakers with the help of the sound engineer, Bhari.
They managed to walk away with the award for Best Drummer and Best Band at Battle Of The Bands 2006, and here they are now.
