Xay
This is it! This could be the missing link in today's music scene. Xay is a saxophonist/film composer with a style of uncommonly good music. Unlike many artists, Xay likes to let his music do the talking. This is a very talented musician with a unique blend of....well, music. He's one to watch for in the very near future.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, I play live! Anyplace that I can. It's cool. I played at the Coca-Cola Amphitheater in front of a packed house years ago and the vibe that I received was real cool! I've played at several places since then but that was really heavy.
Your musical influences
Jill Scott, Antoino Carlos Jobim, Babyface, Henry Mancini, David Sanborn, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, James Newton Howard, The Neptunes, Dr. Dre, Kenny G., Gerald Albright, Kirk Whalum, Take 6, and anyone that's good from old school to new school. I love music from several genres.
What equipment do you use?
I have a modest setup. My saxes, a computer, Cakewalk and Cubase a few plug-ins and my Lexicon are pretty much it.
