Xavier (Atlanta)

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
"... And then there was LOVE" softly spoken with a bright smile, Xavier stands poised in GQ swagger with soulfulness inspired by Donny Hathaway, Kim Burrell, The Clark Sisters, along with the contemporary styling of Dave Hollister all of which he credits as inspirations to his music. Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia Xavier found his calling (a blessing in turn) at a young age that God had fulfilled his prophecy through Xavier with the gift of song. Working under the guidance of his church choir, Xavier honed his gift with a meticulous passion that has rewarded him to this day with the ability to arrange and write music to stir the emotions of the soul. With a commanding stage presence to accompany his vocal prowess, participating in countless local and regional talent showcases that have further propelled Xavier's helm towards his musical destiny. ... And Then There Was Love, Xavier's debut album showcases his gospel tinged vocals meshed with elements of Hip-Hop & Soul. ...And Then There Was Love, embodies various elements of human condition from love, loss, joy, and the emotional interaction within relationships. With a bold soulful cover of Donny Hathaway's classic "Giving Up Is So Hard To Do," Xavier captures each lyric and emotion filled wail with a conviction beyond his years, a feat many of R&B/Soul artists simply can not stand up against. As an artist on the Atlanta based Chutney's Music Group (A subsidiary of It's Time Child Records), Xavier worked with some of Atlanta's most promising talent (LaMar Walker and Tiffany Day, R&B songbird) which contribute lyrically & creatively to the masterpiece ... And Then There Was Love. Currently showcasing his vocal bravado on stage with a soulful must see live act, Xavier croons with seduction on his new single "Ive Changed" (to be commercially released early 2004) in which Xavier yearns for affection with a lyrical and vocal passion. "I want my fans to be able to visualize and relive various situations of my life with me through my music," states Xavier; embodying all the traits vital to become a consummated artist and entertainer: humility, determination, and the God given talent; all of which equals longevity in a business where fly by night artists are here today gone tomorrow; Xavier a promising talent which easily satisfies both the soul & spirit.
