WYATT - CLAYMORE quartet
We use turntables to manipulate isolated instrument sounds on vinyl...
glen wyatt - keys
orson claymore - horns
huey prideaux - bass
dwight mason - percussion
We mainly stick to odd-signature jazz but occasionally you'll here us pull out some bossa nova, reggae, or country
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We are all high-school seniors and we live around Washington D.C., USA. We get together usually every other week to practice. Last summer we met through mutual friends at jam sessions, and after realizing that we all have similar musical goals we decided to practice as a foursome. We've only been a quartet since January 2004 so we don't have anything solid recorded yet [we're working on an EP that should be out by this June]. When we drop you'll hear the splash...
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
not yet...we're too poor
