It began with Sean Garrett in when he wrote the mega hit Yeah for Usher in 2004. Now with arrival of songwriter Jennifer Sarpong, another Columbia, SC native is set to take over the music industry.
Her newest work, Girl Misunderstood, performed by Marion Lake of Columbia, is set to become a huge regional hit, and is well on its way to taking the national airwaves by storm.
The songwriter brings fresh style and prospective to the industry that is unique. Although only 17, Sarpong has the experience, maturity, and 300+ song catalog of a veteran. The depth of her writing which ranges from pop rock to soul R & B has impressed many major industry publishers such as Hitco South/ Windswept and producer Jerald Fields of HotHitsEntertainment, former manager of Garrett.
The future looks very bright, and the possibilities are endless for this young talent of writing and song.
