Wrench in The Works
A writing team of two for this first CD. Jeff and Kevin.
Jeff being the lyricist and both taking creative stabs at the melody lines and movement.
Besides composing, Jeff tasks multi-roles in WRENCH, taking on engineering, editing, production & the graphic design work for WRENCH. Musically, his additions to the duo are lead and background vocals, drums, bass and keyboards.
Kevins role is geared towards filling in the luster with guitar and on occasion, adding some background vocals to the mix.
Both team mates are very different in style and vision but have esablished a common ground based on influence.Band/artist history
Combined post punk fusion, with rock, alternative overtones and 60's flair.
The album is a recorded selection of compositions, rather than an industrial "all at once" sounding collection. "We took the Beatles/Martin approach - we've recorded songs individually, slowly piecing together the sounds, tones, and the emotion. It's a definite album, but each song is uniquely it's own.
The "Wrenchmen" live to this point, includes Jeff Levy on drums and vocals, Kevin Fabbi on guitar and vocal, David Szwec on guitar and vocal, as well as Todd Pilon on Bass.
This album is an enhanced CD which includes 14 tracks, downloadable photo's, lyrics and other items, as well as full screen Quicktime video (footage of a performance of "The Eighties Syndrome", live, at the Corel Centre.)
Wrench was a finalist band in the first ever Tech Rocks events held in Ottawa, Ontario. They, along with several other top notch acts, took the main stage at the Corel Centre, opening for Canadian rockers Big Sugar.Have you performed in front of an audience? Not at the moment - but when we do, its usually concert-type performances. In the past its been places like Hard Rock Cafes, The Corel Centre (Ottawa, ON), and such. Not really a bar-type band.
