Despite America's modish culture, Wormwood Earth come surging to the top through the adversities of sell-outs and sound-alikes in today's music environment. Based in Northeast Tennessee, the band has survived for years in an unforgiving metal music scene and have proven that they truly have what it takes.
Band/artist history
Since their inception in September of 1996, Wormwood Earth have created a dense mixture of raw rhythms and melodic vocals. Formed around the memberships of earlier projects; guitarist Jeremy Fannon and drummer T.J. Jackson joined with guitarist Tony Droke, vocalist Adam Ledford and bassist T.A. Hicks. Later, Hicks was replaced by bassist Jef Roberts, with whom Droke had worked with before in a local hardcore act called Punchin' Judy. Shortly after, Wormwood Earth produced a potent chemistry and recorded their first demo, immediately building a loyal following. From their first demo in 1996 to their fifth full-length album in 2002, aptly entitled NICKEL, the band has steadily ascended to an ambitious pinnacle. In their sixth year together, Wormwood Earth continue to excel. Fact is, they have become a well-oiled machine of riff and rhythm, defiantly rolling right over those who stand in their way. As the facade of new pseudo-metal crumbles, some are left without music that truly delivers. The answer is clearly universal: Hear Wormwood Earth.

Your musical influences
Boasting an infusion of gasoline-soaked riffs, soaring melodies, textured vocal deliveries and the band's vast array of influences such as Black Sabbath, Corrosion of Conformity, and Lynyrd Skynyrd to name a few, Wormwood Earth continue to astound metal audiences throughout the South. As one of the region's most acclaimed metal bands, Wormwood Earth summon the very spirits of angst and frustration that are fantastically forged into music. With their thunderous stage performances they have built an impressive regional following. Though we've witnessed countless struggling metal acts rise, falter, then quietly wither away, Wormwood Earth remain unchallenged.
