The name 'Workhouse' came from the Franklin county Columbus Ohio jail. It is the street name for the expansion of the downtown county jail and its located on Columbus's southside. In 2005, Shadd-Roc had to spend 6 months in the Workhouse. In there he had gotten focused and got on the right track and studied the music biz. He used his time wisely to get prepared to build a studio and start a Record label/Production company after his release date. Most of his ideas were thought up behind bars so he decided to name the company 'Workhouse Productions'. His partner (One-T) is a Keyboardist and has been Shadd-Roc's beat-making partner and close friend since high school. They both attended the Recording Workshop school in Chillicothe OH and were roomates. They now are working on'Hot'albums being released by The Inc(Murder Inc Records). Currently they are working on Caddilac Tah's album and it is gonna be The Album To Get..Workhouse is also working on a new 'Hot' Columbus artisit's (Czar) album and it will be Fire.
