Ghost Story
Since first emerging as the drummer for NYC indie darlings the Moldy Peaches, Dufus, and Stipplicon, Brent Cole has collaborated with several artists, bands, songwriters and labels. Lengthy tours in 2001-3 of Europe, US, Canada, UK, and Japan were amazing learning experiences, but made it clear that his own creation was taking a back seat.
Finally finding the time to get his own music in focus, Brent entered the studio in the fall of 2002 to record what would become Wooden Ghosts debut album, No minute gone comes ever back again, take heed and see ye nothing do in vain. Released by Tuolumne Records in the US, No minute gone received expansive praise in both print and online publications, while steady live shows at well known NYC venues (Knitting Factory, Mercury Lounge) helped take the band to the next level.

Looking Back Without Turning Back is the new full length recording from Wooden Ghost, featuring longtime colaborator Douglas Keith on lap steel and lead guitar. On this record, alt-country acoustic guitar strums, violin, and cello are offset by melodic feedback and poignant lyrics about loss, acceptance, and moving on.
