My name's Lynn, and Wobbly Music is the name under which I produce and publish other people's music.
On the "music" link are some old examples of tracks I've produced for other people. For more recent releases, please check out my store at www.SeniorSounds.com. If you think a song of yours could benefit from my expertise, please feel free to leave a message on the board here at Soundclick with a link to your songs, or email me for further details.
My record label, Wobbly Music, is unique as an independent label that specialises in releasing new music from Mature Independent artists. It is the only label that can offer you a deal without sacrificing your independence. We worrk as a non-exclusive producer, allowing you to offer your songs independently to other producers, publishers or record companies whilst our recordings of your songs earn you royalties by selling through our own store and other distribution networks on the Internet. We have several deals available, ranging from a Free "debut Single" deal, to Full cost Work-for-Hire projects. You can read more about our "Joint Risk" deal at www.GiveMeARecordDeal.com
I also produce commercial and trade projects. Please enquire for prices.
Band/artist history
I have been involved in many facets of the music industry for over 30 years, both as a professional and semi-professional.
I have worked as a concert sound engineer, radio presenter, producer, concert and events organiser, Deejay, Lighting Engineer for Theatre and concerts, band manager, band agent, musical director, arranger, music workshop leader, drum & percussion tutor, fan club secretary, National Sound & Lighting Association Chairperson (of which I was the founder) and musician/recording artist. I have been featured in major publications and have been played numberous times in the past on National radio and TV. I also write lyrics and the occasional tune, mostly in collaboration with other artists. Some of my past work has been published by companies other than my own.
Your musical influences
My influences as a producer are toward real instruments...acoustic, rock, pop, funk and reggae. Although I dabble in the odd dance track, I do not consider myself a dance or techno producer. There are hundreds of guys doing that stuff much better than I could!
My favourite producers are George Martin & Steve Lilliwhite. So I strive to give your music a sound that their kind of productions would acheive.
What equipment do you use?
My studio is as basic as it gets! I use a Mac G5 Dual 2.3Ghz running Logic Pro 7.1. I can record 8 tracks simultaneously through a Tascam FW-1884 control surface at 24 bit 96Khz. Plus, of course, unlimited digital overdubs. Effects are all software based, although I do have some old Hardware that I no longer use, such as Drawmer gates and a Roland SRV-2000.
Mics are by Shure, Beyer & AKG. I also have an SE Electronics tube mic for vocals.
Monitoring is predominently through Genelec 8040A speakers and Sennheiser HD25SP headphones.
Mastering is through T-Racks24 and HarBal, cross-referenced through Mordaunt-Short Active Stereo Hi-Fi speakers, Teac Mono passive reference speaker and Cheap PC Desktop speakers.
Midi is input through a Cheap Casio keyboard (velocity-sensitive) but uses a huge range of samples and software synths via Logic. Midi Drums are input via a Roland SPD-20.
Acoustic instruments at my disposal include Premier Drums, Zildian & Zyn cymbals, CP Congas, Latin Percussion and an array of home-made percussion instruments.
Also, Electric guitars by Epiphone and Fender, Westfield Bass, Acoustic 6 and 12 string guitatrs, Banjele, Ovation Uke, Mandolins, Autoharp, recorders, pan pipes, tin whistles, a chromatic harmonica, and even a twin-stylus Stylophone!

Your treatment of "L'Oreille" is outrageously "av en garde" - but it works!
Excellent!

Lynn,
In life it happens one has a problem to solve for which one thinks there is maybe no solution, like for instance a health problem. It may be the beginning of a long search. Maybe one will have to go from doc to doc, because the only one who could treat it is "one's" doc, the one who will fully understand us and treat the problem.
In the same way I was looking for someone who would arrange my songs. And I found you, Lynn, and thanks to you I may say I found "my" producer.
I would not only like to say you'll become my "sole producer" but also the producer of "solely me". But your talent is too great and what you can do is too enormous for me to try to keep you for me alone.
Thank you for being there.
Vivian
