Laurence Bostic (Baby Wizdom) and Andre Mehr (Cutty Dre) first teamed up in Portland, OR. While both working as producers/engineers at Momentum Studios, they were intrigued by each other’s music. After years of building their separate identities as the go to beat makers in the area, the two super producers began making tracks together. They soon realized that what they were doing was too good to not make a move, left the small city Portland and moved to Hollywood. A monster was soon born. Wizdom, 23, was born in Buffalo, NY. He started playing piano in 1997 and by the end of the year was crowned “Outstanding Musician” at a national competition in Reno, NV. At age 15 he began producing and engineering his own music, as well as songs for numerous other artists. While he was at it, he found time to become the first to earn a degree in Professional Music from Portland Community College. Ever since he has spent his time becoming one of the hottest, most soulful producers around. Cutty, 25, from S.F. CA., got his start at age 15 as well. Starting with a cheap drum machine, he began making beats for local M.C.s while working weekends and after school to build his studio. Upon graduating high school he earned his degree in Recording Engineering from Full Sail in Orlando FL. After returning to the west coast, he sharpened his game by producing and recording every talented artist he could find. Over the course of the next four years head engineer at Momentum, he developed a reputation for his unique, versatile sound. The style of Wizdom and Cutty has a hard edge, but with a musicality not common in today’s popular music. When they get to the top they will stay there due their desire to evolve sonically and the love of their craft. http://music.blackplanet.com/wizcuttproductionz/
