Having been compared to such bands as Live, U2, Matchbox Twenty, and Vertical Horizon, Baltimore, MD's witzend creates a unique sound all their own. Self-described as a "modern rock band", they also have huge pop and progressive influences. "We write solid, melodic tunes influenced by great bands like The Police, U2, Rush, and MatchboxTwenty yet maintain an original sound all our own." Witzend has spent much of the last year writing and performing. They have played with such bands as SR-71 and have participated in several large festivals and college. Many local and regional clubs continue to book the band for their exciting and energetic live shows: "We just love to play! Whether in front of 25 or 2500... we enjoy entertaining our fans." Look for a new 8 song CD "Liquid Comfort", due out in October, 2001. Until then, witzend will be playing in many new cities around the country. Keep your ears open...
