about WishPocket:
When a song takes you to that place and out of wherever you are... That's what WishPocket is all about. The alternative sound and style that comes from the band defies the normal "feel my pain" poor little rock star attitude and is a more realistic and grounded one. You can hear this on their 6-song demo CD recording and it is even more evident at WishPocket's largely anticipated live shows. Each show has its surprises to capture new fans to keep them intrigued and coming back. This is no doubt due to the powerful song writing that this team of musicians has developed which comes alive in their original songs like "Bring You Back" and "Stephanie's House" which are lyrically driven with rhythms that hook the listener in right away, or songs like "Jacob's Eyes" and "Wide Eyes" where the strength of the rhythms allow so much room for the lyrics to explore. This is also because of the intensity that comes off of the stage during their live show as a result of them being in that place.... That place has allowed them to tear up the Ottawa scene and quickly become a must on the list of bands to see and hear. Just ask any of the "PocketLint" - a collection of fans - that has formed and have become obsessed about catching every live performance they possibly can from the band. The four members of WishPocket completely formed in November of 1999. After realizing the chemistry and ability that they had found together, Dave Ball, Mike O'Shea, Don McIntyre and Chris Fillman had no other option then to give the worlds ears its reason for being. Their new full length cd " Half of what you see" is available through the band on their website for now. Keep your eyes open for it to be in a store near you soon.Have you performed in front of an audience?Play live all the time. It is our most favorite thing to do, bar none!!
