Willows Folk
The Willows Folk band started out of an evening class at Stratford College, which is situated in an area called the willows. Good players, their teacher & some friends joined together to form a local band to keep folk music live. This was about 5 years ago. Since then the band has done many local gigs, appeared on the Radio & played at the BBC. We now have 2 CD's for sale. Web site below for more information.

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Group
The Willows Folk Group formed out of an evening class at Stratford College with some additional specialist players led by their teacher Mary Chowen.
We now have about 8 players including fiddle, mandolin, mandola, banjo, tin whistle, flute, bodhran, guitars and percussion.
OUR MUSIC
We specialise in Warwickshire and Midlands music but also play a variety of folk, blues and blue grass music from around the world.
