My name is Wild HTX. I am a music producer. I can do any type of music. I love working with new artists. I have seen artist like Baby Bash start from writing in a warehouse. Now he has made it big. I can honestly say I witnessed him having nothing to having everything. Very talented guy. Also I was there when Lil Rob signed his record deal with Upstairs Records. I sent him the check that came from the label. Dreams do come true. You just have to work hard and be noticed. I'm in the process of writing a book to help new artists and producers.
Band/artist history
I started out djing small parties like house parties, weddings, sweet 16's, etc. Back then we were called the BassEBoyz. Don't know how we came up with that name. lol. I was still in high school back then. There was a group of us. After a couple of years my dj partner was killed in a drive by shooting at a party we were djing at. I don't know why I stuck with it but I did. I guess in a way I did it for him. We were very close. I still miss him to this day. After high school I became more involved with spinning music. I loved music. I would think about it all day and night. Kinda like a girlfriend. I spent all my money on records and cd's. I was going broke, but I had to have that right song for the party to make me stand out. I then started to do club remixes. I put out about 15 different records with 6 tracks on each one. When I was in college I started djing on radio. My first station was Power 107 in Dallas, TX. A guy by the name of Mixmaster Jim Evans started me out. He was a cool older dude. He used to make me laugh so much. I was always kind of shy. He believed in me. I asked him if I could become a radio personality. He didn't say anything. Probably because I didn't talk much. But one day a guy didn't show up. He gave me my chance. I was on that station for a while. My and my buddy DJ Kai. He was an awesome partner. We put out a cd together. It was really good. After Power 107 I moved on to KNON 89.3 in Dallas. Dave Chaos gave me a shot a his station. I was there for awhile. I started getting popular. I was spinning at all the clubs. I heard that Jim Evans was ill. He later passed away. He was known by so many people but not that many people showed up to his funeral. I remember he made so much money but he put all of it into his station. He also loved music. We were very close. I miss him to this day. Later I moved on to HOT100 in Dallas as a daytime personality. My first big major market station. I would also do the morning mixes and night time mixes. It was very tiring but I loved it. I worked so much it also took a toll on my relationships. They didn't understand why I worked so much. I just loved music. After HOT100 I moved to Houston, TX to work with Peter Manriquez. He was my boss at HOT100. He became one of my best friends. He introduced me to Homie Marco. Homie let do the morning mixes at Party 104.9 in Houston. Homie, DJ Penetrate and DJ Xray took me around introducing me to everyone and got me some gigs. Xray was very cool for doing that for me. Homie in now in San Antonio but I miss him as well. I started djing at all the clubs in Houston. I started to get into music production. I also started doing a live broadcast on HOT 97 in Houston with Jammin Jimmy Olsen. Funny guy. Later I moved on to KRBE with Atom Smasher. Weird guy but still cool. I stopped doing the clubs and moved on to work with a major record label called Upstairs Records. Pete hooked me up with John Lopez and they gave me a job. I eventually became Operations Manager for the label. Upstairs is home to New Ridaz, Lil Rob, Amanda Perez, Frankie J and Angelina. Jose Melendez at Upstairs got me to be a tour dj for Lil Rob, Frankie J and a special chica called Angelina. Jose is another one of my best friends. I put out a few cd's. I started working with alot of rappers from Houston and Dallas like Big Deuce, Lil J, Lil Keke, Carmen San Diego and more. I got to tour the US. I have met alot of famous people and shared the stage with Akon, T.I., Cassie, Lil Jon, Ne-Yo, Three 6 Mafia, Chingo Bling, Chamillionaire, Paul Wall, Mims, T-Pain, Webbie, and so many more. I thank Lil Rob for letting me be his dj. He is a humble dude. I got to tour the country with Lil Rob. It was very fun, but I didn't like traveling on the tour bus. Especially with Jose slapping himself trying to stay awake while driving the tour bus at night. lol. I learned alot from John and Jose. Very good mentors. In August 09 Upstairs moved to Cali. I decided to stay in Houston. I got back in the clubs again and I also started a health business. www.iamreliving.com This health product can help people with Cancer, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Arthritis, Tumors basically anything that is wrong with the body. Now... I dj in Houston, TX. Fridays at Bikini Beach in Clearlake. Saturdays at Status in Midtown. If you want to come meet me just holla at me and I'll put you on my VIP list. My music production site is www.wildhtxbeats.com One thing is I learned is you never burn any bridges. Treat everyone with respect. Trust people until they give you a reason not to. Keep your integrity. Listen first, think and then talk second. Don't make a decision based from anger. I have met alot of great people. Famous and almost famous. It has been a great journey and I look forward to the future. We can make anything happen. And if you have made it this far I thank your for reading my bio. Please excuse my typos.
