Formed in 2003, Newport based four-piece rockers Wilcox were a little more than a group of classmates with the simple ideals of entertaining their friends and family. Four young men with different musical backgrounds blended their unique talents to form a sound unlike any other on the music scene today - a sound that they are now famous for up and down the backbone of Wales. With pulsating riffs, flawless vocals, pounding drumbeats and bass that sometimes seems to shake the soul, Wilcox are quickly becoming recognised for being at the forefront of the next generation of rock.
It has been a busy twelve months for the band. Besides recording their second EP entitled "Alcoholocaust" in March 2005, they have been playing clubs up and down the Welsh coast, such as Clwb Ifor Bach, Barfly, NCLA, The legendary TJ's, The Inferno and Swansea's Escape, gracing the same stages as bands such as NOFX, From Autumn to Ashes, Fall Out Boy and The Goldie Lookin' Chain!
