Wide Eyed
Hello! Welcome to the world of Wide-Eyed.
You may ask, "So, Where exactly am I?"
Well, you're in a place that is full
of music always, that is always the rule.
This music will push and will pull,
And you will ask, who is playing the fool?
Some lush moments filled with beauty,
Some crazy moments, even a bit quirky,
Some dark moments of truth and reality,
Some surreal moments of cartoonish insanity.
So, if you find that you like these sounds,
then we know your artistic appreciation abounds.
Because we believe that first comes the song,
Then all of the rest will naturally follow along.
But, if you find this music is not pleasing,
You must ask yourself: "why am I wheezing?"
Is it because you hear purposeful imperfections,
or because it avoids common connections?
So, we'd like you to listen again and again,
Because we would like us to all be friends.
Not just like in a silly children's song,
but a place where real people can really get along.
Before you go, we would just like to say,
most of all, we hope you enjoyed your stay.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We committed ourselves to this project in late 1998. As a result, we chose to move to a new part of the U.S. (new to us, at least). This new location brought new ideas, as desired.
The first step we chose was to go straight to recording our first album. We began this process on a cassette 4-track. In the end, we selected a Tascam 788, but still kept analog alive in other ways.
We've enjoyed the luxury of taking our time developing this album. We finished recording in May of this year. We are now beginning recording for our second album, Maven.
Also, have we mentioned that we would like to play live? We'd really like to meet a drummer who could help us with this, 'cause we like drums.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We need a drummer, and then we will.
Your musical influences

We believe each song has its own personality. So make sure you get to know each song before you judge it. One last thing that we recommend for a long and healthy life: ALWAYS BE OPEN TO NEW MUSIC!
