WHITE PLEASURE
WHITE PLEASURE is synthisizer music overseen and created by M. M. Cipov. The songs are a marrage of analog tones, menacing discomfort, voice and beauty. This is the 1980's version of the future, this is a modern version of new wave. And bla bla bla.
Please do enjoy.

FUTURE 1980 AUDIO
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
WHITE PLEASURE started as an ultra low-fi bedroom project in about 1994. Equipment got a bit better, musicianship improved, new recordings came about and the name WHITE PLEASURE was chosen. Shortly thereafter, equipment got even a bit better still and musicianship further improved... more recordings were made and never released.
Roughly 200 unreleased songs later, a serious musical project was undertaken in November of 2002. Fourteen songs were recorded, 13 of them are being released. All recordings will be showcased on my own 'record label' FUTURE 1980 AUDIO.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
This is strictly a homestudio recording program. I have no aspirations to play out live.
But, I am a keyboard player in 3 other active bands:
-THE SILENCE (www.thesilence.cc)
-THEE HOLOGRAMZ
-BIG BIG LORDZ
Some of these bands play out in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. I get a kick out of playing music to a live audience, especially when no one knows what to expect.

KEEP YOUR LIFE SIMPLE & SEXY.
And in defense of my synth-out. I do not make loops, I do not sequence, I do not cut and past elements to make songs. WHITE PLEASE is a hardware, non-software oriented outfit. This is for 2 reasons:
1. I prefer to play my rhythms beat by beat and I enjoy playing even the most repetitious synth lines over and over because of anomalies that make the music a bit more organic with a lot left to chance.
2. I have no clue how to sequence, make loops and cut and paste songs together. I don't really want to and I don't quite have the software to make that happen. Like I said, I like to keep things simple and sexy.
That is all of the horn tooting for now.
