WhiteBear and Friends

Actually the band was/is a 'studio band'-which produced our first CD in 2007 and will be recording some tracks in the future enhancing some of 'Bear's' new acoustic tunes-members include Kimmy (Van Schaick) Greene on lead vocals and flute, Marc 'Bear' Grindle on rhythm guitar and lead vocals and the multi-talented Larry Rapshaw on keyboards, bass, violin, lead guitar and more along with special guest vocalist Kim Grindle (The Key). Thank You for visiting our site! Please feel free to leave comments on what you like/don't like about our music-thanx!!! Downloads are now available here in our music store.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Mainly a songwriter/musician seeking that one-in-a-million chance of getting a song published and recorded by a major label/star. It's all a self-driven project that has turned out to be a lot of fun and a great learning experience. Currently writing and working on new music arrangements that we can later record.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I (Bear) play live around my hometown on occassion in a few clubs, playing acoustic rock covers with the occasional original thrown in as well as hitting some open mics.
Your musical influences
The Beatles, CSN &Y, Lynyrd Skynyrd (back in THE day!), Allman Brothers, Dire Straits, Bob Dylan, Jim Croce, James Taylor, The Eagles, Harry Chapin, Greg Lake, Willie Nelson, Tom Petty, Counting Crows.................................to name just a few
What equipment do you use?
Ibanez Acoustic-Electric guitar, Rogue Dreadnought Acoustic, Crate Electric Guitar, Suzuki keyboard, DigiTech Effects Pedal, Laurel P Bass guitar, Radio Shack & Nady Mics, --nothing too high tech or top end but they get the job done! ALL tracks recorded and mixed on Zoom MRS8 Multitrack Recorder- Also want to add that my 'studio' is a makeshift room built within my garage-measures 8' x 10', just big enough for 2-3 people, tops. Far from soundproof, everything you hear here is either plugged in direct or close mic'd with the same $35 Radio Shack OmniDirectional Dynamic mic, making the most of what I've got.
