Where Morris meets Howard

Where Morris meets Howard began on a whim. A one man band that covers all the genres of guitar music.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The band started and so far remains as just Calvin McCorison. I had almost no musical interest until I turned 16. A guitar shortly became an obsession and continues to dominate my music. Because of my failure to find others as dedicated to music as I was, I picked up every instrument I could get my hands on. My current repitoire consists of voice, acoustic guitar, classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums, banjo, ukelele, harmonica and penny whistle. Everything I record is multi tracked, enabling me to sound like a full band, without the full band.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play whenever i can just in my hometown. Mostly coffee-house type gigs with just me and guitar.
Your musical influences
Adrian Legg, Paco de Lucia, Joe Pass, Don Ross, Pat Metheny, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Chuck Berry, Jim Croce, Angus Young, Jason Wade and many more.
What equipment do you use?
Guitars: Godin Lg, Harmony Opus, Yamaha, Taylor, Epiphone. Amps: Peavey Triumph, Kustom Drums: Coda, Paiste
Anything else?
My music has a great deal of variety. It's difficult to contain in a genre. I refuse to limit myself to playing one type of music. Also much of what I play is improvised on the spot. What you hear on the recording will often be the first time it's ever left the instruments.
