Wayne Longtin Sr. has been around the music business for 40 years. 30 of those years as a bass guitarist with road bands traveling across the country. How many times have songs been written about the second time around? I blew my first major chance at a recording career with drugs. Ended up homeless when I quit music. This time around? There'll be no more mistakes. One of my goals is to help the younger artists coming up. Advice? Keep the music a business!Have you performed in front of an audience?My current venues are coffehouse concerts since it's wintertime in Minnesota. I have concerts booked during the summer months at fairs and festivals and still travel. I love the road even though I'll be 62 years old in March. My favorite venues are nursing homes and Senior centers. To see somebody in a wheelchair that can hardly hold their head up is depressing but when you see a foot tapping to the music, or even a finger, that's priceless!
Your musical influences
I grew up in northern Minnesota listening to radio stations in Memphis, Chicago, etc. on an old RCA radio. I have a background in Blues,Jazz, R&B and, of course Country msuic. Rockabilly is what I grew up on. My heroes are anybody making good music no matter what the genre.Anything else?
