Voodoo One
I started getting into making beats around 2000. Got put on to it by my man Reewyne Selecta. I make beats the old-fashion (meaning its actually Hip Hop) kinda way: dig for samples, cut em up, lay down some hard hitting drums. I use Cool Edit and FL Studio, don't let the price tag of the equip fool you, there's alot of shit you can do with just those two pieces of software and a love for what it is you are doing. You got cats that got daddy and mommie to dish out 2G for a Triton, but they don't know their Skull Snaps from their Honeydrippers.Have you performed in front of an audience?I'm a zealot for what I do, but the aspect that I like the most, kinda the nerdy side of it, is just knowing hip hop shit. Like Imma use this vocal snippet from Das Efx with this drumtrack that Marley freaked for Lords of the Underground, and it's like a joke, because people used to get them confused when LOTUG first came out, so if I put those two elements in a song together its there so that people that know Hip Hop like that will get the joke, its an insider kinda thing which is important because the direction of hip hop is dictated to us by these dingy girls gone wild bitches and whats going to appeal to them, so its not about the real anymore at all. Anyway to answer the question, No I don't play live, next f'in question.
