Verne, I still come back to listen to your story songs. I can relate to some and I want to say a true artist makes you smile and cry, sometimes at the same time. Keep plucking those Banjer strings and giving all of us a good story. God Bless, David

Hey Verne! Jamey here, I enjoyed listening to Kentucky Coffee Tree. So many people can't identify the names of trees. I've always prided myself for being pretty good at it. Now I have another in my brain. A Kentucky Coffee tree! This song was a real tree't

Hello Verne! This is a great classic and I love your version. You really let loose on that banjo. I like that! I made another visit to Beardstown last week. This Illinois river area is beautiful. Hope your doing well your friend, Jamey

"Another place in time" This song really gathered my attention. I was at the Cargill plant in Beardstown, IL. (not far from Lake Fork) two weeks ago for a delivery of cleaning solution I made. I got a good look at modern hog processing. The Semi trailers of doomed hogs never ended. In some cases the farming life requires versatility that most people don't require. Verne your memory and knowledge of farming lifestyle in the early years is priceless history to be told. Great song my friend and keep those hands working for all of us most appreciative listeners to enjoy. All the best! Jamey

Hey Verne, I had to sign up on sound click just to post this. Is this your main site ? I kinda got lost in all of these different music webs. I've been back to work so I haven't been able to spend as much time on the web. Good to hear you. Still cranking out tunes I see. Is this where the term" bleeding like a stuck pig " was inspired? Glad to see your doing well. Never seen a pig slaughtered but as usual your song gave me a good visual.

Hey Verne! Your lyrics are descriptive and poetic, You have a very visual memory as well. Too bad we can't go back to simpler times. I miss ezfolk,, we can't go back to that either. Some good people there. Stay in touch and keep writing those beautiful songs. I'm your biggest fan Mr. banjo Man!
