Just me and my banjo...writing and singing about how things used to be long ago in the 30;s and 40's and how those experiences affect today. I started out wanting to get on record these stories and songs for my grandchildren; but after doing it for a while, others have expresses interest so we are recording and putting them out there.Have you performed in front of an audience? So far only record at home.
Your musical influences
Lefty Frizzell, John Hartford, John Prine, Jason Skinner, Patrick Costello, Will Keys, Carl Smith, Luann Turner, Jim Moak (banjo)What equipment do you use?
Deering Sierra banjo, and old Oscar Schmidt OB-5 for knocking around in tough, tight places
Record using Audacity with $20 mike from Radio Shack. (I know sounds like it too)Anything else?

Verne, I still come back to listen to your story songs. I can relate to some and I want to say a true artist makes you smile and cry, sometimes at the same time. Keep plucking those Banjer strings and giving all of us a good story. God Bless, David
