Just me recording the stuff I like.
Band/artist history
Started gigging in 1969 aged 18. Still gigging now. Present band is the Cruiser Blues Band. Been going just over 11 years now.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Started giggin in January 1969 in Liverpool. Played the original Cavern. Now play in a blues/rock band.
Your musical influences
Blues/Rock; Tom 'Riffmeister' Burch.
What equipment do you use?
2009 '8 Gibson LP Standard; 2009 '57 VOS LP Junior; 1991 Gibson LP Custom; 1976 Gibson LP Deluxe; Taylor 314;
Albion Gulfstream15 (absolutely magnificent amp). Mesa Boogie F-50.
Anything else?
Started gigging in Liverpool in 1969 when I was still at school. Modest claim to fame: gigged on the original Cavern when still at school, and played at several of the original Merseybeat venues that were still in existence at the time.
17th November 2006, my old early 70s band 'Splinter' played at The Cavern at a book launch about 1970s Liverpool bands.
Now in the Cruiser Blues Band.

wish the lead guitar a bit more up front in the mix
clearly some excellent soloing is going on – albeit buried in the mix
only complaint - too short!!
cool guitar sounds at the very end of the song – glad you left that in
kudos
almost a Bluesbreakers tone without being imitative
playing is a heartful of soul
love the pinched harmonics
below are a few of my favorite licks during the solo:
0:48/40"
1:36/37"
1:41/42"
1:55/58"
you sure can shake them strings!
yes! number one with a bullet...
vocals better placement in the mix – stronger overall
very infectious hook in the chorus
good use (finally) of doubled vocal track plus harmony
again, monster guitar tones... what was used?
obviously, a killer song
very good drummer – very happy to hear the drums mixed forward
intro / sound effects effective without becoming annoying
very strong chorus – "sing-song" melody an ear grabber
vocals much stronger
love the effect on the lyric, "mandalism"
middle 8 = love the climbing guitar/bass line
guitar tone a cool "I'm A Man" (Spencer Davis) vibe - ala' Windood's B3

very soulful playing beautiful tone deft balance between the two guitars use of half–steps very effective in adding melancholia rhythm guitar strong sense of swing and movement without being heavy-handed below, a few of my favorite licks: 0:36/37" 0:58/59" 1:44/46" lovely, tender ending letting the last note ring/fade out without adding any vibrato to it impressive
