Vacant Strangers
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Vacant Strangers were formed early in 2005. Originally going under the name of 'Amnesia five', the band was formed from musicians from across the north west of england.
The bands music can be best described as being somewhere between old school and modern day punk.
Vocalist and founding member Martyn Binks previously played bass for Bolton based band 'Zero Zero' fronted by Martyns wife Kelly.
Phil Round (Drums) had previously played with St. Helens based bands 'Primitive Heroes' and 'Self Infliction'.
Bass is executed by Gary Slater who together with Phil, Martyn and previous guitarists Steve and Dave formed the original band.
Early in 2006 following the departure of Steve and dave: Martyn, Gary and Phil where joined by guitarist Les Reddin.
Following the departure of Les, (last seen at the Gypsey's Tent gig), Mark Berry joined the band on guitar.
The line up in the late noughties after Gary also left became - Martyn:vocals and bass / Phil:drums / Mark:guitar
