Silas is a young talented artist, producer, performer, and poet who is spreading the message about the love of God through the gift of song.
Silas’s love of singing began at the age of 7 in Miami, Florida when he joined choirs at school and church. In the early days, Rhythm and Blues artists such as Force MDs, Jodeci, and Anita Baker inspired Silas. By 1993 he was seizing every opportunity he could find to sing publicly in the Miami area. During that time, Silas was blessed with opportunities to perform with a variety of Miami artists and styles including Rap, Rhythm and Blues, and what has evolved to be his greatest musical love of today, Contemporary Gospel. Silas’s goal is to write and produce music that will uplift the soul to Christ and bring hope to those who are going through trying times. “Music is a joy to me, and I plan to use my talent for the good of God’s children and to spread his word to a dying world.” His gospel musical influences include Andrae Crouch, Commissioned, and Daryl Coley (just to name a few). “I plan to accomplish great things musically in the name of the LORD and reach souls who are thirsty to hear His words through the gift of song.” By completing this album, Silas feels that each recording has a message that will reach that special someone who is thirsty to hear about Jesus and who will also find encouragement through the lyrical content. “Music is more than a hobby; more than just singing and producing; it is my way of life
