Charlie Kay is a danish singer/songwriter, inspired by the progessive and alternative.
I am a danish singer/songwriter with inspirations from the alternative, the proggressive and the soul. I started as Charlie Kay in spring 2009. I love to experiment with different genres, and as a solo artist I can do as I please. I'm often bringing friends in and getting them to contribute to the music in their own way with a solo, background vocal og piano, whatever they're capable of and wants to. And for that I am truly blessed to have so many good friends who are so excellent at beeing flexible and creative. I've played in several bands including Karen's Overdrive, The Sweetest Two, The Bakersfield, Drown The Ice Cream Truck and Extravagrant. I'm in the band Dead End Pawns, and we released the EP "Elusive" you can stream on this page. I'm also one half of the electronica duo puppeteaters.

Story behind the song
This one-day-band started randomly, when Charlie (Dead End Pawns, Extravagrant) and his brazilian friend Gustavo (Lost In the Box) were hanging out in a park in Denmark. They found a guitar, quickly wrote a song, and decided to get Simon (Applause the Dead) and Matt R (Extravagrant, Dead End Pawns) to join the project. They got Matt to produce the thing, and this is the result! Everything is made in less than 48 hours, including, writing lyrics, music, recording, band-naming, photosession, producing and releasing.
