Soloist. Songwriter/singer. ASCAP member. A NICE WITNESS FOR CHRIST There is an extensive interview of me done by Scott Crawford, at . Do not let the site name alarm you. It is an "adult-themed music and entertainment" site. It is not a porn site, and you will not get tagged for spam if you go there. Scott is a journalist of integrity, who asked pertinent and penetrating questions, then printed my answers verbatim. Both God and His son received much attention in the interview. REVIEWS: "Fancy keyboard playing is the backdrop for this positive and upbeat collection. Hackley's vocals are reminiscent of Burl Ives." Review by Brent Castillo, The Wichita Eagle, March 5, 2005. "world's wimpiest Christian rocker". Brother Russell Podcast; : INFLUENCES (a very lengthy list, ending with...) "and of course, Richard Hackley." "Yet the songs on the Worst of the Worst can be compelling in their awfulness. Songs like Richard Hackley's rabble-rousing, hackles-raising spiritual God's Backhand ("We're not talking about tennis or Ping-Pong!") "; "Richard Hackley... HUGE musical influence. And a real bad mofo live.";

Story behind the song
About Ezekiel's commitment and mental toughness.
Lyrics
(v.1) Israel’s hearts had hardened their foreheads had turned to stone So Ezekiel had to get strong for God Stronger than anything known. Like a... (c.1) D H that’s what Ezekiel became it could have been his nickname D H much harder than stone that’s what it took to stand alone. (v.2) The Lord told Ezekiel “My people have wandered away But don’t be afraid of this rebellious lot no matter how much they disobey.” (c.2) D H not because his ministry shines but because he stood in the hardest of times D H tougher than flint Israel’s hardness couldn’t make a dent (v.3) Yet, what purpose did Ezekiel serve if they did not accept his ministry? For one thing he shows to us how committed to God we can be. (c.3) D H focused on his ministry obeying God unwaveringly D H and now, centuries later, we can see his loyalty to the Creator.
