Originally released in 2009, I updated this song and re-recorded it on a new beat. It basically talks about my emotions behind rapping, and why I choose to keep doing it despite what people might say to persuade me otherwise. Produced by VTZ.

Name: Jeremy Blum Nicknames: Blummer, JB, JAB, Shoryu Crew: Nerds While AZN Nationality: Half White, Half Asian (you figure out the exact mix) Biggest Musical Influences - Mike Shinoda, Tiger JK (of Drunken Tiger), Tablo (of Epik High) I started rapping in 2003 years ago, mainly because I really loved hip-hop and wanted to try creating my own musical works. I quickly found out that I had a knack for it, and I also discovered that I loved making music and sharing it with the world. I originally began rapping with my crew, Nerds While AZN (if you haven't already, you should check our group site out @ soundclick.com/nerdswhileazn) but since then I've mostly done solo work and have finished three mixtapes on my own. I hope you'll enjoy my music, find something that you think sounds tight, and come away with a few favorites. Thanks.

Lyrics
Blummer - No More Music i got dreams of standing on stage in front of a crowd rockin' a beat mad wild as they scream out loud chanting my name, the glory that can come to a man when he stands, the galaxy in the grasp of his hand but this acclaim stays elusive, vanishing too fast i awaken, the curtains drop, i'm the last one in the arena, the only one with the mic the only one staring, wondering what it feels like to have the world know the realness, for all to feel this not be left with the cold kiss of silent stillness i'm that voice in the dark, that voice that stays blurred by unrecogition and struggles to be heard as i pace through life, only music can handle me disappointment fades when i escape in the fantasy of being on that stage for real, not out of sight the hunger for more fueling the raps that i write (chorus) x2 when there's no more music left, and all the crowd is gone i'm still the one left standing alone as the sky grows black, the moon shines bright i'm still the one in the dark clutching the mic so tight most people can't understand hip-hop conceptions of what the elements are and what they're not for some, you're irrelevant if you don't talk about MACs ammunition, infrareds, gunplay, busting back for others, it's the bling that makes rap a joke judging someone by the shine hanging from his throat and the rest disregard the lyrical content if it bumps in the club, we'll dance in spite of what's on it i always tried to be in between, the flow infected lyrically injected, verses always perfected but to say you can rap when you're not black is whack unless you're Em or Latino, then you can stay on a track but an Asian rapper? they've never blown in the States so all the ABCs turn east to stay in their place taking this into account, the cards are against me but i'll deal like a pro, expectations don't faze me (chorus) x2 narrow heads always scoff thinkin' of me on a track an Ivy League ambassador who thinks he can rap and at Princeton it's true, there's a lot of arrogant minds living large in pink Polos but they're all the same kind let's all be number one but never break the mold and never take time to make our visions unfold even my friends doubt and look at me askew asking for freestyles, they don't really get what i do 'cause if you ain't Jay Chou or spittin' in Zhongwen most Asians won't bother checkin' for you or your songs, man i'm tryin' to go farther, to sketch my own map and chase a dream beyond the limits of the 9 to 5 trap i'll crawl through the gaps, the barriers i'll snap hip-hop's my holster and strap, the banner that i'll flap if you don't get me yet, i'll multilingually rap hip-hop wa ore no jikohyogen, that's a fact (chorus) x2
