Soloist. Songwriter/singer. ASCAP member. A NICE WITNESS FOR CHRIST There is an extensive interview of me done by Scott Crawford, at . Do not let the site name alarm you. It is an "adult-themed music and entertainment" site. It is not a porn site, and you will not get tagged for spam if you go there. Scott is a journalist of integrity, who asked pertinent and penetrating questions, then printed my answers verbatim. Both God and His son received much attention in the interview. REVIEWS: "Fancy keyboard playing is the backdrop for this positive and upbeat collection. Hackley's vocals are reminiscent of Burl Ives." Review by Brent Castillo, The Wichita Eagle, March 5, 2005. "world's wimpiest Christian rocker". Brother Russell Podcast; : INFLUENCES (a very lengthy list, ending with...) "and of course, Richard Hackley." "Yet the songs on the Worst of the Worst can be compelling in their awfulness. Songs like Richard Hackley's rabble-rousing, hackles-raising spiritual God's Backhand ("We're not talking about tennis or Ping-Pong!") "; "Richard Hackley... HUGE musical influence. And a real bad mofo live.";

Story behind the song
A glaring omission, from Paul's epistle to the Ephesians, is explained.
Lyrics
(v.1) There?s something missing in Ephesians where God listed the ministries. Apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers and evangelists ... that?s all you read But back during Old Testament times there was another ministry around. For 400 years they ruled in Israel but now God doesn?t even write them down So what ministry is missing? Well, there?s... (c.1) No judges. And the good news is, it?s not an oversight. There are... No judges. What we read in Ephesians is exactly right. (v.2) Jesus Christ is the reason there are no judges today When your people have been made righteous what do you need judges for, anyway? And look at all the freedom it brings when there?s no more judging to do. You don?t have to be judging others or worrying about it if they are judging you. If you?ve made Jesus Lord, you have arrived where there?s... (c.2) No judges. We?re seated at the Lord?s right hand today No judges. You don?t get there if there?s still evidence to weigh No judges. (c.3) No judges. Jesus Christ put them all out of a job. So there?s... No judges. Jesus Christ gave us the righteousness of God. So there?s... No judges.
