Songwriter, home recordist, and occassional performer. I write songs intended primarily for bikers who have either found Jesus or need to. For those that see
I've been a songwriter from the moment I picked up my first guitar. Over the years I've developed some skills on the keyboard as well which I use extensively in my home recording studio. I see myself more as a songwriter and session recorder than performer, though I do occassionally perform. Although I've written conventional and traditional material for most of my life, I gave up on it several years ago, primarily because there was nothing I found inspiring. Then I let Jesus come into my life and the inspiration began flowing like a river once again. I believe this is because God has a new mission for me, and that is to reach out and minister, through my music, to those in dire need of his saving grace. My audience is more likely to have tatoos and a motorcycle than a nice haircut and a minivan. This is for the folks who felt life rejected them from the beginning, so they have rejected life...but in doing so, they rejected the only thing in life that could save them from their misery. As one of the pastors from North Carolina's Freedom Riders stated to me, you can't ride free if you don't know what real freedom is, and only Jesus can give you that kind of freedom. I don't think you have to own a bike to have a biker mindset and to relate to this music. This music is for anyone who has felt beaten by life. Those who have tried all the worldly avenues to try and fill the hole in their hearts, but have found nothing but more misery and pain. For the hopeless in search of hope. And for those that have found Jesus and desperately hold onto that precious gift because they know, better than anyone else, how miserable life can be without it.

Story behind the song
This song is dedicated to one of the bravest and strongest people I know. My son, who is in recovery and has over two years of sobriety, and attributes a good deal of his success to the power of prayer. God bless him and the example he gives to others, including myself, of the power and importance of prayer.
Lyrics
Bow My Head Down In the silence of a moment When the world is still rushing on I find a place of peaceful freedom That can lift up my soul before the moment is gone. Amid the noise and the confusion When I need to find peace of mind I escape from lifea019s illusions To a place in my heart where the worlda019s left behind. When I find myself in darkness And I need some light to guide my way In the quiet time, when Ia019m all by myself I bow my head down to pray. How often do we wander As if in a fog of great despair Never thinking to be grateful For the times in our lives when we knew God was there? Every day and night wea019re given Are treasures more rare than gold. And to commune within his presence Brings peace to the heart, and food to the soul. When my spirit needs uplifting From a life that seems in disarray In the quiet time, when Ia019m all by myself I bow my head down to pray. The simple power of a single voice Can bring new hope to troubled times An amazing gift that is ours to use To change the lives of those lost To change the world if we choose. When wea019re lost with no direction Or those we love are oppressed with pain Therea019s a place that offers shelter That can bring back the hope of starting over again Every prayer thata019s left unspoken Is a life that is often lost And in that choice of being silent Is a price that is paid, beyond any cost. Of all the treasures life can offer Only one could never be repaid. In the quiet time, when Ia019m all by myself And I bow down my head to pray.
