Story behind the song
About my days back in public school
Lyrics
REMEMBER THE DAYS
(Verse 1)
I remember the days back in elementary
When I would always get in trouble never do what they were telling me
I never was the smartest and I never won the spelling bee
I wanted to be the coolest but I was always the trailing
The popular kids in school so I acted like a fool
This is the kind cruel stuff that I would always do
Pooping in the urinals always getting all referrals
Pissing off all the girls but I thought F the world
So I did I wanted everyday I saw the trouble come
Piss this girl off in her hair I put some bubble gum
Teacher started screaming sent my ass to the principle
But I didnt care cuz I felt so invincible
Everyday I went there its the place that I forever saw
Broke a girls nose when I hit her with a tether ball
Stole pencils out of desks never ever tried my best
Never cared about success copied on every test
(Chorus 1)
Remember the days
Going back to school
When we were little kids
We always acted like fools
Cuz we were still young then
But now weve grown old
So here are the memories
And how they told
(Verse 2)
Then I junior high started and I thought I would be popular
Instead I stayed in trouble pissing off police officers
They really didnt me and I really didnt like them
And it was always so freighting having bullies I was fighting
But I liked art gas I would always fart gas
Everyone would dart fast I was such a smart ass
Then the teacher would start b*** ing but I never would listen
Most days I was missing so I always got detention
I was zany I was crazy my brain wired for harm
And when I got really bored I would pull the fire alarm
It would wake everyone up that was tired from stuff
And then theyd take us outside making room for fire trucks
I thought it was pretty funny it would make me laugh hilarious
The teachers always looked at me and thought it was precarious
That I would laugh a lot and that I would feel that way
But they never caught my ass even till to this day
(Chorus 2)
Remember the days
Going back to school
When we were little kids
We always acted like fools
Cuz we were still young then
But now weve grown old
So here are the memories
And how they told
(Verse 3)
I finally grew older now and I was up in high school
I thought forget the freaking elders I live life by my rules
My grades were still crappy then I didnt do math great
Making out with all the girls made me get to class late
I was on the basketball team and then I got kicked off
It made me pissed off when the coach said get lost
I tried to hold my anger in I felt like whipping his butt
But I lost it all when I started kicking his nuts
I was pretty stupid then you see that was crazy me
So right then they sent my butt over to AEP
Wheres they have metal detectors and they try to direct us
Kids in Texas giving us lectures how they always expect us
Not to be reckless but they knew we wouldnt listen to them
Cuz we were juveniles then that were undisciplined
But I finally had made it the day that I graduated
Better then I estimated I left the stress elated
(Chorus 3)
Remember the days
Going back to school
When we were little kids
We always acted like fools
Cuz we were still young then
But now weve grown old
So here are the memories
And how they told
