The Southern Drive band is a 5 piece cover band located in the north east Georgia area that plays local clubs in the Athens/Lexington/Elberton Georgia area. Our music format is anything from Classic & New Country , Blues , Southern rock , Classic rock , Soul & Surf & oldies music ( No Hip hop or heavey metal) only great dance music. We are the house band at the American legion in Lexington GA. and have been there since the early 80s on Saturday nights from 9-12 pm we have been tegether for many years & also have become best of friends and we look forward to our regular saturday night gig at the legion. we all grew up playing country , blues & southern rock and playing music is are passion .
