I wrote this song originally back in 2005 or 2006. It's based on a story I read about Patti LaBelle who was battling with her voice and ended up crying on stage while a good number of her'fans' exited the venue. By the end of the show less than half the people were there. I wrote this as an ode to aging artists and the lack of respect they get.
