Story behind the song
All the songs on this CD were inspired, written and recorded during my stay in Jerusalem in 2001. It was during the time of the second intifada. It was a crazy place, and for an Australian with no knowledge of this historical city, it was a wonderful learning experience.

I’m looking for a cure,
To my disease that I am sure,

Will end my life in loss,

I think I’m Jesus Christ!

I think I’m Jesus Christ!

I’ve got a dose of the Jerusalem Syndrome.
Ask me for a sign,
I’ll turn water into wine,
Go and tell your daughter,
Watch me walk on water.
I think I’m Jesus Christ!
I think I’m Jesus Christ!
I think I’m Jesus Christ!
I think I’m Jesus Christ!
I’ve got a dose of the Jerusalem Syndrome.
I’m on the Via Delorosa,
Come a little closer,
Kneel down beside me,
Don’t you recognize me?
I think I’m Jesus Christ!
I think I’m Jesus Christ!
I think I’m Jesus Christ!
I think I’m Jesus Christ!
I’ve got a dose of the Jerusalem Syndrome.
I was looking for a cure,
But now you’ve kissed my hand I’m sure,
You won’t be going home,
Now you’ve caught my sad syndrome.
We think we’re Jesus Christ!
We think we’re Jesus Christ!
We think we’re Jesus Christ!
We think we’re Jesus Christ!
Will someone came and take us all away!
We think we’re Jesus Christ!
We think we’re Jesus Christ!
We think we’re Jesus Christ!
We think we’re Jesus Christ!
Will someone came and take us all away!
